Terms & Conditions

Twenty Questions (“the Game”) at playtwenty.com is operated by Hunter J. Schneider (“we”, “us”). By using the Game you are entering an agreement with us and you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Game.
Who may use the Game
You must be of legal age to form a binding contract in your country, or have permission from a parent or guardian. If you create an account you must give accurate information, keep your password confidential, and you are responsible for everything done through your account.
What we provide
The Game gives you one daily puzzle, twenty yes-or-no questions answered automatically, and one guess. Extra lives may be purchased or earned. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to play the Game for your own personal enjoyment.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Game for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive;
- send spam, harassing, hateful, or infringing content through usernames or invites;
- interfere with the Game’s security — no malware, probing, scraping, automated question-asking, or attempts to extract the daily answer;
- manipulate the leaderboard, invite system, or bonus lives by any automated means;
- reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Game or circumvent its limits.
Automated answers
The Thinker’s answers are generated automatically and may occasionally be wrong, ambiguous, or unhelpful. The Game is for entertainment. Nothing in it is advice of any kind, and you should not rely on its output as fact.
Intellectual property
We own the Game, its puzzles, software, design, and branding. Playing the Game does not transfer any of those rights to you. You keep ownership of the username and avatar you upload, and you grant us a limited licence to host and display them so the Game can show you on leaderboards and to other players.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated and shown at checkout. Payment, billing, and tax mechanics are governed by Stripe’s consumer terms. See our Refund Policy.
Extra lives are a digital item consumed inside the Game. Rounds played with a bonus life are marked as bonus rounds and are deliberately excluded from the community leaderboard.
Archive Pass membership
The Archive Pass is a recurring subscription billed monthly ($4.99) or yearly ($27) until cancelled. It unlocks every past daily game, grants 3 free bonus lives per week (the allowance resets weekly and does not carry over), and adds a member badge to the leaderboard. Your first attempt at an archive game counts toward the leaderboard; rounds played with a bonus life never do.
You can cancel at any time from your profile. Cancelling stops future billing and your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Switching between the monthly and yearly plans takes effect immediately and is pro-rated.
Availability
We do not guarantee that the Game will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features at any time.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Game at any time and ask us to delete your account.
Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Game, or your breach of these terms.
Changes, law, and contact
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the courts there have jurisdiction. Questions: hunter@hunterjschneider.com.
